Rebecca Buchanan is the Environmental Manager with AECOM in their Conshohocken office. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned a duel Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Regional Planning (GIS Concentration) and Criminology. Rebecca is a Certified AECOM Project Manager and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). She has over fifteen years of experience in project management, environmental and natural resource permitting and impacts assessment, and electric utilities siting experience, and has worked on projects in a variety of fields including electrical utilities, oil and gas, and land development. Prior to joining AECOM, Rebecca worked for a major Pennsylvania electric utility service provider and served 10 years with the Lancaster County Conservation District in their Erosion and Sediment Control Department. Rebecca is also is a member of the Women's Energy Network (WEN), Philadelphia Chapter, Pennsylvania Environmental Professionals (PAEP), the United Women's Hockey League, and Delaware Valley Women's Fly Fishing Association.

Jessica Stearns is a geologist/project manager at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., in Philadelphia, PA where she specializes in environmental site investigation and remediation. She currently manages several investigation and remediation projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but also has project experience in Delaware, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Ms. Stearns holds a BS/BA in Geology and Applied Anthropology from Appalachian State University and a MS in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver. Prior to joining GZA in 2015, Ms. Stearns was a geologist at an engineering consulting firm located in Raleigh, NC. She has been a member of SWEP since 2015.

Ammie Martin is a Senior Technical Chemist and the Corporate Quality Assurance and Training Specialist at Environmental Standards, Inc. out of their Valley Forge, PA office. Ms. Martin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University. She has over 15 years of diverse environmental laboratory and quality assurance experience. As a Senior Technical Chemist, she manages several data validation projects; is responsible for the validation of organic, inorganic, and radiological analytical data; and audits laboratory facilities. As the Corporate Quality Assurance and Training Specialist, Ms. Martin oversees the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), prepares data validation standard operating procedures (SOPs), and develops internal training programs to train quality assurance chemists.

Jennifer Waters is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Texas. She has worked at Urban Engineers, Inc., in Philadelphia, since graduating from Penn State University with a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering in 2001. Currently she serves as Office Manager and Associate Vice President for Urban’s Philadelphia office.
Over the past 18 years, Jennifer has performed Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, NEPA assessments, environmental regulatory compliance, environmental oversight, stormwater management, and sustainability studies. Her diverse environmental background includes infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, educational, and recreational property development/redevelopment projects. She also obtained her M.S. in Engineering Management from Drexel University in 2010. In role as Office Manager, Jennifer will be responsible for the viability and success of Urban’s Philadelphia office.
Throughout her environmental career, she has served as a board member on several professional organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers Young Member Forum, and Delaware Valley Green Building Council. Jennifer and a co-worker also began an internal group at her company called the Urban Women’s Professional Network (UWPN). The goal of this group is to provide professional guidance to women with our company through mentoring and networking.

Jennifer Poole is a project geologist at Pennoni in Philadelphia, PA and holds a Professional Geologist license in Pennsylvania. She specializes in subsurface field investigations and remedial investigations at industrial sites. Ms. Poole is responsible for field investigations, reporting, and remediation programs for RCRA, CERCLA, NRCS, ISRA, IEC, and Act 2 sites in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Prior to joining Pennoni, Jennifer worked at a couple of other environmental consulting firms following working as an exploration geologist & geochemist at a midsize oil and gas exploration company and in numerous environmental laboratories. Ms. Poole has her Masters of Science in Geology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Poole has been a member of SWEP since 2013 and is the SWEP Treasurer and is also on the Scholarship and Grant selection committee.

Andrea DeCola currently hold a position as Senior Account Manager with Eurofins Environment Testing America. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University in Environmental Science/Biology and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Andrea’s experience in the environmental industry includes bench analytical, project management and business development for the environmental laboratory industry as well as business development for the environmental services/contracting industry. Andrea has served on the social committee as well as the fundraising committee for Touchstone Awards for SWEP.

Laurel Klein is an Environmental Scientist at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA), in Philadelphia, PA where she specializes in Phase I Environmental Site Investigation report writing and field assessments including ground water sampling, soil sampling, soil vapor intrusion assessing, lead-based paint sampling and asbestos sampling. Ms. Klein has her asbestos building inspector certificate in Pennsylvania & New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia. She holds a BS in Environmental Science from Stockton University, with a minor in chemistry. Ms. Klein began her career at GZA following her graduation from Stockton in 2019. She has been a member of SWEP since 2019.

Katie Eberhart is a Senior Environmental and Permitting Specialist at Orsted where she supports offshore wind project development. She brings to that role more than 21 years of experience primarily focused on managing natural resource related issues regulated by the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, FERC 7(c), RCRA/CERCLA, NEPA, and other federal and state regulatory programs. More specifically she has worked in the areas of wetland investigations and restoration monitoring; wildlife/threatened and endangered species studies; vegetation surveys; environmental permitting; habitat assessments; invasive species management; ecological risk assessment for CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs; and a variety of other environmental compliance programs.
Katie earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College and an M.S. degree in Ecology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she studied lizard foraging ecology and got her start as an avid birdwatcher. She is on SWEP's Grants and Scholarships committee and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and the Wyncote Audubon Society.
