Each year, as part of our mission to encourage and promote leadership, achievement and the professional development of women in the environmental field, SWEP presents small grants (from a pool of $6,000) to help fund organizations or programs in the Greater Philadelphia Region that creatively address a locally-defined need to enhance, restore, or protect the natural environment. SWEP also supports projects that provide environmental awareness through educational sessions, with particular emphasis on encouraging girls and/or women in the sciences, engineering, or environmental fields.
This year, applications for our grants will close at midnight on April 25, 2025. Award recipients will be notified after applicant selection takes place on or about May 9, 2025. Applicants must provide a secondary contact in the event the primary contact is unavailable.
To be eligible for a grant, applicants and projects must be located within the Greater Philadelphia Area, which includes southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware and southern New Jersey.
